The Finnish Lapphund is a medium size, strongly built spitz breed.  They have thick coarse double coats, prick ears or they maybe tipped and when they move their tail curls loosely onto their back.  They have a balanced friendly temperament and this together with their gentle nature make them an ideal family companion.  They are a very versatile breed, intelligent and are quick to adapt to different situations and environments. If you want to be active then they will be right there with you, but if you want to take it easy so will they!  They love being with you a very addictive breed as you can never stop at just one! Lapphunds are a clever breed and do well in training, with success in obedience, agility, flyball, tracking, herding and conformation showing.
